ACORN Responds to Allegations

Representatives of ACORN spoke about the organization, their voter registration drive, and voter suppression. Ali Cronley, PA State Head Organizer, said the allegations by the PA Republican Party are based in fear of the expanded electorate. She stated that ACORN is proud of their historic voter registration drive and is disappointed that conservatives and partisans are hostile towards the 140,000 newly registered voters in PA.


PA Republican Party announces it is filing suit against Sec. of State Cortes and ACORN

Today the Pennsylvania Republican Party announced it is filing a lawsuit against Secretary of State Pedro Cortes and community group ACORN to prevent “unqualified, ineligible voters” from casting ballots on November 4, and for the enforcement of a “fair, open and honest” election process. Former PA Supreme Court Justice Sandra Newman denounced ACORN and its affiliates, and accused the Obama campaign of complicity.
