House State Government – 10:00 a.m.

House State Government – 1:30 p.m.

The House State Govt Committee met this afternoon to consider two bills. SB 862 was unanimously reported as committed after two amendments were withdrawn. HB 1821 was unanimously reported with one amendment that limits the bill to direct investments only. Several members asked about the fiscal impact of the bill, to which Rep. Shapiro said other states that have divested have not seen a decrease in returns due to the divestment.

The committee met to consider six bills. HB 1187, SB 852, and SB 536 were unanimously reported as committed. The House State Government Committee held a voting meeting today to consider several bills and amendments. Senate Bill 568 was reported as committed. A01715, the amendment for HB 9, was adopted and then the committee called a recess until further notice. HB 9, HB 1175 and A01713, HB 1595 and A01738, HB 1030 and HB 1596 were all passed over.
